Payment
Summer Isles Foods uses Protx payment gateway which accepts the following credit and debit cards Access, MasterCard, Visa, Switch
Postcodes are vital for trouble-free deliveries. If you don't know the delivery address postcode please check it by ringing: 08457 111 222 (Local call rate).
Our parcels are marked Urgent/Perishable. It is the recipient's responsibility to refrigerate the food on arrival.
Deliveries to the Scilly Isles, Channel Isles, Isle of Man and Northern Ireland may cost more. Please phone 01854 622 353 to find out.
Overseas deliveries; owing to the volume of orders in December, we cannot undertake to despatch overseas deliveries in that month. If you wish to send to other EU countries in November or January please telephone 01854 622 353 for the extra cost by air courier.
Please indicate your preferred delivery date which we will endeavour to achieve but because of the risk of delays over the weekends, perishables are dispatched Monday to Thursday for delivery on Tuesday to Friday each week. Please note that during December we cannot guarantee specific delivery dates.
During Christmas we often get a lot of snow in the Highlands and for this reason we do not deliver between Christmas and New Year or during the first week in January. This is due to the perishable nature of the produce.
Prices shown do not include the delivery charge which is £5.00 for UK addresses.
Delivery is free for orders over £75 value to any one address.
Delivery Methods
Standard service deliveries within the United Kingdom are made by Royal Mail or Parcelforce.
Small packs up to 2 Kgs in weight are delivered by first class post. Heavier than 2Kgs are delivered by 24hour Parcel force who will require a signature.
Delivery damage or faulty goods
In the event of damaged or faulty goods, customers must contact Summer Isles Foods immediately. Perishable goods must have been kept refrigerated from the day of delivery.
A. leaflet with storage instructions and serving suggestions is included with each order. You can store most items for 14 days in a good fridge and 2-3 months in a freezer.
Order Confirmations
Once you have submitted an order using our on-line shopping system, you will receive a confirmation e-mail. Providing the goods have not been despatched orders can be cancelled by contacting us by calling 01854 622 353. Once goods have been delivered, we are unable to have orders cancelled or returned, unless the goods are found to be faulty. This clause is inserted because of the perishable nature of our produce.
The dispatch note sent with the order will show the senders name and address. If you advise us, we can include a short greeting message with gift orders.
Substitutions
If a product is not available we will substitute the product for one of equal or greater value.

Data Protection
Summer Isles Foods will not disclose customer information, our database remains confidential to the company. Summer Isles Foods work within the guidelines set-out in the Data Protection Act 1998.
The prices shown do not include VAT which is zero on shown items.
Organic products are fully certified by authorised certifying bodies.
Customer credit card details are not held or stored.

Unforeseen Circumstances
While every effort will be made to meet customers demands, cancellations or variations may be necessary as a result of Act of God, War, Strike, Lockout, Labour Dispute, Fire, Flood, Drought or other causes beyond the control of Summer Isles Foods.
We endeavour to provide the best service possible but if you feel you have a complaint, please contact us immediately by e-mail at lindsay@summerislesfoods.co.uk or by phone on 01854 622 353 9.00am-5.00pm, Monday-Friday. calls charged at the standard rate. Complaints will be acknowledged within 24 hours of receipt, and will be dealt with as speedily as possible.
Law
These terms and conditions are governed by Scottish Law. By ordering products from our site you indicate your acceptance of these terms and conditions under the jurisdiction of the Courts of Scotland.
Our terms and conditions do not affect a customers statutory rights.
